Operation Good Cheer 2011 Grand Junction

On December 18, 2011 the Operation Good Cheer statewide tour began.  The Lincoln Park Barn in Grand Junction was the first stop for Santa and his many helpers.  Numerous children and families eagerly awaited the start of the party.

When the clock struck noon, the party got underway.  Everyone was welcomed in to the Lincoln Park Barn, and were treated with cookies and juice.  All children, young & old, were given the opportunity to share their holiday wishes to the big man himself.

At this event, 1108 children were served with gifts, snacks, smiles, and pictures with Santa.  The event for Western Slope Head Start families was a great way to kick off the tour.
